TVS EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY The TVS Educational Society (TVSES) was founded three decades ago in order to create excellent educational programs in under developed areas. The Society is a nonprofitable organization comprising of well-known educators, industrialists and philanthropists. The Society is supported by the TVS Group of Industries, the largest manufacturer of automotive components in India. The Society has established excellent, schools in Tumkur, Hosur, and TV Malai and manages a Polytechnic in Chennai (www.tvses.org) . TVSES is looking for content developers in social studies, Science and English THE JOB 1. Must have an inspired and informed vision for the discipline 2. Must have a sense of the best curricula in other countries so as to inform his/her vision 3. Develop curriculum in line with current best practices and strategies in the subject. 4. Develop -- instructional materials including, lesson plans, worksheets, project ideas, posters, videos -- touching on present socio-political issues -- in line with the schools vision 5. Ability to develop and format the content using tools like Pagemaker 6. Introduce and test the curriculum delivery in the class room THE PERSON should have 1. 10 -12 years of experience in training teachers or is an expert and creative teacher. Should be a specialist in one of the following subjects -- Science, Social Studies, Math, English 2. Developed innovative curricula in any of the above subjects for the Middle or Elementary school 3. A Postgraduate in any of the aforementioned subjects 4. A good knowledge of practices and standards of quality followed in state of the art schools in India and/or abroad
