Job Title:

Job Purpose:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead the technological, engineering, and innovation strategies of the organization, driving continuous improvement in product design, manufacturing processes, and quality systems to ensure the company remains a leader in the Oil & Gas equipment manufacturing industry.

Preference will be given to candidates with a robust BE (Engineering) qualification and an ex-Army background, bringing technical expertise combined with discipline, leadership, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the companys overall technology and engineering roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of new products, equipment, and manufacturing processes to meet evolving industry standards and client requirements.
  • Oversee plant and equipment automation initiatives to improve productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry standards, certifications, and statutory regulations related to Oil & Gas equipment manufacturing.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Lead and mentor engineering, design, and technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, procurement, and sales teams to ensure technical feasibility and timely delivery of projects.
  • Liaise with clients, technical consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Establish robust systems for preventive maintenance, asset management, and technical audits.
  • Implement strong data security, intellectual property protection, and technology risk management practices.
  • Prepare and manage the technology and engineering budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge in Oil & Gas equipment design and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Proven track record of driving technological innovation and process improvements.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High level of discipline, integrity, and commitment — ex-Army background preferred for these attributes.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, or related field).
  • Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology Management will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 15–20 years of experience in the engineering/manufacturing sector, with at least 5 years in a senior technology leadership role in Oil & Gas or heavy equipment manufacturing.
  • Prior service in the Indian Armed Forces with relevant technical/engineering role preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to plant locations, vendor sites, or client sites as needed.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
