Counter Sales Executive

Key ResponsibilitiesGreet customers as they approach the counter; provide friendly, prompt, and professional service. Advise customers on jewellery items (gold, diamond, silver, etc.), including styles, purity, making charges, gemstone quality, etc. Maintain product displays / counters — keep them clean, attractive, well‑organized, ensuring stock is displayed properly. Assist customers in selection, handle jewellery pieces, demonstrate them with care. Process billing, packaging, receipts, deliveries; ensure accuracy in invoices and handling cash / POS systems. Achieve assigned sales targets (daily / weekly / monthly). Maintain knowledge of current market rates (gold, diamond), offers/promotions, competitor pricing. Handle after‑sales service queries — cleanings, repairs, exchange policies. Ensure loss prevention and security norms (valuable items guarding, verifying authenticity, no misuse). Maintain stock records, sales records, report discrepancies to supervisor/manager. Assist with opening/closing of the showroom: cash reconciliation, counter settlement. Skills / QualificationsGood communication skills in Hindi; basic English helpful. Trustworthiness, integrity (jewellery is high value). Good appearance and grooming. Pleasant personality, patient with customers; good listener. Basic maths skills (for calculating making charges, discounts). Ability to work under sales pressure / meet targets. Flexibility with shifts / working hours (weekends/festivals likely busy). Some experience with jewellery is a plus: knowing types of jewellery, metals, stones. Work ConditionsFull‑time; showroom environment. Retail / customer‑facing. Days could be long; in peak seasons more hours may be needed. Standing for long periods; handling of delicate materials.
