Job Description

As Counsel in the Business Conduct Office (BCO) at Mastercard, based in Pune, India, your role involves conducting internal investigations into business misconduct and various other BCO activities. You will be responsible for vetting conflicts of interest, drafting training materials, communications, and reports. Your expertise in investigations, understanding of applicable laws and regulations, and ability to articulate information at different levels within the organization are crucial for this role. Attention to detail, judgment in handling confidential matters, and the ability to conduct privileged investigations autonomously are key requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct complex investigations globally with a focus on the AP region - Respond rapidly to incidents and inquiries while maintaining confidentiality - Maintain best-in-class compliance policies and programs globally - Consult with internal Law Department and external counsel as needed - Interact and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders - Develop and update policies and procedures as required - Assist in preparing Audit Committee materials and analyzing investigation metrics - Support other key initiatives driven by the BCO **Qualifications Required:** - Law degree is mandatory - Advanced investigation experience is essential - Strong partnership skills for effective collaboration across teams and regions - Proven track record of leadership and integrity - Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision - Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail - Ability to research, interpret regulations and laws, and disseminate information - Experience in developing and managing policies and procedures preferred - Strong data analytic skills with experience in trend analysis preferred As Counsel in the BCO at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the ethical standards of the organization, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
