Tasks Job DescriptionNo. of Positions: 01 Team : Cost Engineering Team Department : RD/IDC Mercedes Benz Research Development India Employment Location: Bangalore Building name: Embassy Crest Phase 1, 5th Floor, Central Wing Qualification Required: B.Tech /B.E. Mechanical, Automobile, EE Relevant Experience Required: 1. Experience in Target Cost Calculation Negotiations for Powertrain EE Parts Conventional E Drive both (Design Development Cost Calculation for Series Parts) 2. Experience in Proto Parts and Tooling calculation 3. Knowledge of Sourcing Process for Series and Proto parts Good understanding of all the Powertrain EE Commodities Conventional E Drive, along with required testing for part qualification (e.g. W/H, Thermostat, Charging Inlets, Sensors (Temp, Pressure, Exhaust etc), DC DC Booster, HV lines, Battery, ECU s, WH 4. Decent knowledge of Powertrain Parts related Manufacturing Process such as Casting, Forging, Machining, Hydroforming etc both for Proto and Series Parts 5. Exposure in Excel, SAP, Costing Tools, Basic CAD etc 6. Technical education paired with commercial. 7. Global Exposure and well versed technically and behaviourally while communicating with Global Team/ Suppliers, especially European and Chinese 8. Lingual skills : Very good in English / basic in Chinese is an added advantage 9. Team working is an essential requirement 10. Minimum relevant experience 3 years Job Responsibilities: 1. Should Cost calculation for Designing of Powertrain component prototypes 2. Support the Purchase team in Cost negotiation 3. Discussion with RD Department and other concerned departments to get the relevant details for should cost evaluation, understand specifical sheets/forms/documents. Estimate Testing and Validations requirements. 4.
