COSTING & ESTIMATION ENGINEER

The Cost and Estimation Engineer in Industrial Refrigeration based in Faridabad will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various aspects of refrigeration projects. This includes analyzing project scope, specifications, and client requirements to develop accurate estimates and budgets. The role involves working closely with procurement and engineering departments to obtain pricing for equipment, materials, and subcontracted work. Additionally, the Cost and Estimation Engineer will be involved in preparing cost models, managing budget forecasts, evaluating vendor quotes, and supporting the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for bids/tenders. Furthermore, the Cost and Estimation Engineer will track and control actual project costs, provide variance analysis, participate in value engineering exercises, and suggest cost-saving alternatives. It is essential to have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least 3-7 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in industrial refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical EPC projects. Proficiency in estimation tools and software, strong understanding of refrigeration systems, familiarity with ASHRAE standards, and excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills are required for this role. Desirable skills include knowledge of thermodynamics, experience in food & beverage or process industry projects, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and exposure to international cost estimation practices. The Cost and Estimation Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting contract negotiations with clients and suppliers from a cost perspective, maintaining cost estimation databases, and historical records for future use. This full-time on-site role in Faridabad requires the Cost and Estimation Engineer to have strong BOQ and Project Estimation skills, experience in Civil Engineering, negotiation skills, research abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
