Cost Engineer-Electrical

As a Cost Estimator in this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for the specific discipline assigned to you. Your main objective will be to maintain an internal cost database that is updated with current market prices and trends. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Cost Estimator and Proposal Manager in defining bid costs. - Participate in defining procurement and commercial strategies, and identify critical activities and materials for estimation based on vendor quotations. - Price the Material Take off produced by the ENG. Department: - Verify vendors' offers for activities or materials to be estimated based on vendor quotations. - Prepare commercial bid evaluations based on the Technical evaluation conducted by the ENG. Department. - Finalize the cost estimate. - For activities or materials to be estimated in-house, collaborate with procurement and engineering to prepare accurate in-house quotations. - Keep the internal cost database updated with current market prices. - Ensure the assessment of material costs for all projects based on the assigned schedule. - Attend internal and Joint Venture cost review meetings. - Analyze project technical documents and vendor quotations to select the best prices for inclusion in the bid cost estimate.
