Cost Controller Manager

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Reducing operational costs, enhancing productivity, driving manpower rationalization, conducting comprehensive cost audits, and overseeing project costing. The position plays a critical role in improving bottom-line performance by analysing cost structures, implementing cost-saving strategies, and ensuring accurate costing practices across departments.

  Lead the Costing Department and ensure all costing activities are executed accurately and on time.

  Develop organization-wide cost optimization strategy covering materials, manpower, operations, administration, and overheads.

  Drive manpower cost reduction initiatives, including workload analysis, departmental restructuring, and productivity improvement.

  Establish short-term and long-term cost-saving goals aligned with business objectives.

  Monitor all direct, indirect, fixed, and variable costs across departments.

  Identify cost leakages, inefficiencies, and avoidable expenses using data-backed analysis.

  Review monthly operating costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets , Approve cost deviations and recommend corrective actions.

  Lead project costing for new products, new investments, and new developments.

  Oversee standard costing, BOM validation, cost roll-ups, and margin analysis, Lead annual budgeting, cost estimation, and financial forecasting.

  Report cost deviations with root-cause analysis and recovery plans , Review vendor quotations, price changes, and contract renewals for cost efficiency.

  Provide cost benchmarking insights to procurement teams , Support negotiation with vendors for long-term cost reduction.

  Publish monthly cost performance dashboards for management review, Present cost variance reports, manpower analysis, and cost control achievements.

  Implement digital tools for cost visibility (ERP dashboards, Excel models, BI tools).

Job Requirements :

• Expert in cost accounting & cost audit standards.

  Advanced Excel (dashboards, macros preferred) , ERP tools – SAP / Oracle / Tally Prime (Costing & Finance modules).

  Project costing & scenario-based costing , Budgeting, forecasting & variance analysis.

  Productivity & manpower modelling , Financial analytics and reporting tools (Power BI preferred).
