Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & Engineering

• Prepare

  cost estimates

  ,

  BOQs

  , and

  pricing sheets

  for components, assemblies, and engineering projects.
• Analyze

  drawings, technical specifications

  , and customer requirements to prepare accurate cost breakdowns.
• Collaborate with design, production, procurement, and quality teams to identify cost drivers.
• Evaluate

  material, labor, machining, tooling, logistics

  , and overhead costs.
• Maintain and update

  cost databases

  , cost drivers, and estimation templates.

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Use

  Excel, Power BI, Python, or similar tools

  to analyze historical cost data and generate insights.
• Develop

  cost forecasting models

  , dashboards, and reports to support business planning.
• Perform

  trend analysis

  , cost optimization studies, and variance analysis.
• Automate repetitive estimation processes using analytics tools.

Vendor Interaction & Market Research

• Coordinate with vendors to collect quotations and understand market rates.
• Perform

  should-cost analysis

  and benchmark against industry standards.

Process Improvement

• Improve accuracy and efficiency of cost estimation processes.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.

Cost Estimation Engineer

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of

  cost estimation methods

  & engineering fundamentals.
• Proficient in

  Advanced Excel

  ,

  Power BI/Tableau

  , and

  data modeling

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Python / SQL

  is a plus.
• Understanding of

  manufacturing processes

  such as machining, fabrication, casting, tooling, assembly, etc.
• Experience with

  ERP systems

  (SAP / Oracle / Infor) preferred.
• Ability to read

  engineering drawings
