Cost Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Overseeing the consolidation of Management Information Systems (MIS) across the enterprise, ensuring accuracy and relevance of financial data for decision-making.
• Conduct thorough Revenue Audit to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Conducting Financial Analysis to generate insightful reports and provide objective data to support informed decision-making by the management.
• Preparing Cost Sheets for the products and evaluating the same on month-on-month basis to ensure there are no major variations
• Valuation of the Finished Goods and Semi Finished Goods, in line with the acceptable principles of costing
• Evaluate the Production Entries regularly to ensure that there are no abnormal changes in the Output and to evaluate the reason for the variations
• Develop precise Cost Accounting (budgeting) for various teams within the organization and maintain control structures to safeguard against fraudulent activities and errors.
• Monitor and analyze intercompany transactions to ensure transparency and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Assist the Finance Lead and Director in preparing various financial reports, presentations, and booklets used for management decision-making.
• Create and evaluate Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts, meticulously comparing actual financial performance with forecast figures and aligning them with the business plan.
• Record financial transactions accurately in the SAP system to maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Preparing comprehensive reports for cost audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Conduct Internal Audit for the Company, as per the set Auditing and Assurance Standards and report to the management
• Filing of the records along with scanning of the documents for proper book keeping
