About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Corporate Lawyer with at least 1 year of professional experience in corporate legal matters. The ideal candidate should possess strong drafting, analytical, and research skills with prior exposure to corporate law, compliance, and taxation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse assignments, ranging from shareholder agreements and startup documentation to employment law and taxation matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal agreements, including but not limited to:
• Shareholder Agreements (SHA)
• Founders’ Agreements
• Joint Venture Agreements
• Service Contracts and Vendor Agreements
• Handle startup-related documentation including incorporation, structuring, investment agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Draft and review employment policies, sub-policies, and HR documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Provide advice on corporate taxation matters and support in tax structuring and filings.
• Conduct detailed legal research on corporate, commercial, and labor laws; prepare legal opinions and advisory notes.
• Assist in managing statutory compliance, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance issues.
• Maintain accurate legal documentation, contract management, and case records.
• Liaise with external legal advisors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders for smooth resolution of legal matters.

Requirements

• LLB/LLM degree from a recognized university.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong drafting and vetting skills across agreements, contracts, and corporate documentation.
• Sound knowledge of corporate laws, taxation frameworks, and compliance regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ethical integrity.
