Job Description

This person should have solid language skills. Should be able to craft messages for the media (writing of quotes, blogs, articles), for internal communication (newsletters, employee engagement pieces), CSR topics. Should have strong Media Relations and should be able to handle media queries, write and provide clarifications over press releases, and coordinate media interactions. Should be abreast of latest

media and industry trends so as to guide agencies to look for media opportunities to profile the company and its leadership.

  • Should have strong Media Connections/Relations - i.e. with publications, journalists and editors as well (wherever possible)
  • Should have a PR agency background (AdFactors, Ogilvy PR, etc.) and must be able to hand agency operations which include coordination between the agency and us and the agency and the media
  • Should have very strong language skills, preferably should have completed a journalism course with ample exposure to BFSI - Capital Markets would be preferred
  • Should be able to draft Preparing press releases, keynote speeches, quotes, blogs for company appointed spokespeople
  • Should have good knowledge about current media trends, topics and should be able to contribute to PR and Corporate Communication Strategy
  • Should be able to draft responses for email interview and male talk points for any video or in-person interaction
  • Should be able to build positive relationships with stakeholders, media and the agency
  • Contribute to PR campaigns and media relations strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and senior management for internal communication
  • Ability to draft content for Internal/Employee Newsletters, emailers, and other Employer Brand related communication
  • Should have exposure to CSR related issue so that the same could be leverage in traditional and digital PR
  • Be the SPOC for PR events (e.g. press conferences)
  • Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and awards
  • Track media coverage and follow industry trends
  • Manage a Crisis
  • Draft communication policy

Requirements and skills-

  • Proven experience of 8 years in PR & Communication role in BFSI sector or PR agency
  • Experience in managing media relations (online, broadcast and print)
  • Background in researching, writing, and editing publications
  • Strong communication ability (oral and written)
  • Creativity and problem-solving aptitude
  • Education background of Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or
