Job Description

The role involves driving insurance product sales through the banks channels, including branches and digital platforms, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders within the bank and ensuring operational efficiency. This position requires a results-oriented, dynamic individual with a strong understanding of both the insurance and banking industries. Key Responsibilities: Sales Leadership & Target Achievement: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed business targets for life, health, and general insurance products sold through the bank. Collaborate with bank sales teams to identify and convert sales opportunities, ensuring a strong pipeline of prospects and closing high-value sales. Monitor and track sales performance, providing regular updates to management on progress against goals. Team Management & Development: Lead, train, and motivate a team of insurance advisors and bank staff to drive product sales and improve overall performance. Ensure that all team members are well-equipped with product knowledge and sales tools. Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews to improve sales effectiveness and achieve high productivity. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the bank, including branch managers, relationship managers, and key banking personnel. Act as the main point of contact between the insurance company and the bank, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration. Resolve any issues or challenges related to the sale of insurance products, ensuring a high level of service and customer satisfaction. Training & Knowledge Sharing: Conduct regular training sessions and workshops for bank employees to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and understanding of the insurance offerings. Ensure that bank staff are up-to-date on new products, policy changes, regulatory requirements, and sales tools. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all insurance sales activities and operations are compliant with the company s policies, banking regulations, and industry standards. Monitor and enforce adherence to regulatory requirements related to bancassurance practices. Stay abreast of changing regulations and market conditions, and update the sales team accordingly. Customer Experience & Retention: Focus on enhancing the customer experience by ensuring the timely and accurate sale of insurance products. Work with the bank s customer service teams to address complaints, resolve issues, and improve customer retention. Conduct follow-ups with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling. Market Research & Strategy Development: Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth. Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional campaigns and incentives aimed at increasing sales volume. Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback. Analyze sales data to identify patterns and adjust strategies as needed to achieve sales targets. Key Requirements: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field (Master s degree preferred).
