CORE NETWORKING-ROUTING & SWITCHING - CISCO

We are seeking a skilled Network Operations Engineer to support and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance and security across a wide range of network technologies including Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, Cisco ISE, Cisco switches, routers, and wireless, SD-WAN, network device patching, and network monitoring tools.

• Monitor network performance and availability using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent.


• Respond to alerts, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis.


• Maintain operational documentation including network diagrams, incident logs, and change records.

• Operate and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls, managing policies and updates via Panorama.


• Support Cisco ISE for network access control, including 802.1X authentication and guest access.


• Ensure compliance with security standards and assist in vulnerability remediation.

• Perform configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points.


• Support SD-WAN operations including link monitoring, policy updates, and failover testing.


• Assist in network expansions, migrations, and upgrades.

• Schedule and apply firmware and software patches to network devices in accordance with change management policies.


• Track patch compliance and maintain version control across all network hardware.

• Generate regular reports on network health, uptime, and incident trends.


• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to improve network reliability and automation.


• Participate in on-call rotations and provide Level 2/3 support for escalated issues.

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.


• 10-12 years of experience in network operations or support roles.


• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Panorama, Cisco ISE, Cisco switching/routing/wireless, SD-WAN, and patching processes.


• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ITSM platforms.


• Certifications such as PCNSA, CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.


• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.


• Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment (if applicable).
