Role Description

This is a remote internship role for a CopyEditor L-3 at Endeavor Academy. The CopyEditor L-3 will be responsible for daily tasks such as grammar checking, text editing, proofreading, and ensuring the overall quality and accuracy of written content. The intern will also provide editorial support and assist with writing tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform

  Level-3 (substantive/deep) copyediting

  , ensuring logical flow, clarity, and overall readability of the content.
• Review and refine content for

  accuracy, coherence, and consistency

  in tone and style.
• Reorganize, rewrite, or restructure sections when necessary to enhance comprehension and engagement.
• Verify

  technical and factual accuracy

  of subject matter (as applicable).
• Ensure adherence to specific

  style guides

  , formatting standards, and client specifications.
• Collaborate with content authors, SMEs, and quality teams to deliver polished, high-quality output.
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining editorial precision.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Linguistics, or relevant field.
• Proven experience in

  L3 copyediting

  for academic, educational, or publishing projects.
• Excellent command of grammar, syntax, and editorial conventions (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).
• Strong rewriting and paraphrasing skills.
• Ability to understand subject-specific contexts (Science, Engineering, Humanities, etc.).
• Eye for detail, consistency, and factual correctness.
