About the Role

We’re looking for a cook or chef who believes good food doesn’t need drama—just care, clarity, and real ingredients.

At RedHill Nature Resort, our kitchen runs like a homestay, not a hotel. We cook from scratch, work with seasonal produce, and use organic vegetables and herbs grown on our own farm or sourced locally from the Nilgiris.

If you enjoy cooking food that feels personal, grounded, and connected to the land, this will feel less like a job and more like a natural rhythm.

Perched above Emerald Lake, RedHill Nature Resort is a 130-year-old heritage bungalow surrounded by tea estates and open grasslands. We’re a small, family-run retreat focused on quiet hospitality, warm service, and honest meals made with intention.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, home-style meals using seasonal and organic ingredients
• Plan and adapt menus based on availability of local produce
• Develop new dishes while respecting traditional flavours
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and inventory
• Coordinate with helpers and work closely with a small team
• Occasionally interact with guests and explain dishes or ingredients

What We’re Looking For

• A passionate cook who values simple, flavour-forward food
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen or homestay setup (preferred)
• Strong sense of cleanliness and organisation
• Interest in local produce and sustainable cooking
• Willingness to commit to a minimum stay of 2 years

Salary & Benefits

• ₹15,000 – ₹30,000 per month (based on experience)
