Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and passionate Cook to join our team at [Coffee Shop Name]. The ideal candidate will prepare a variety of breakfast and lunch items, baked goods, and light meals in a fast-paced café environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining food quality, safety, and kitchen cleanliness while delivering a great customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food prep areas
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with menu development and specials when needed
• Manage prep work efficiently to meet customer demand during busy hours
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely service
• Handle deliveries and stock rotation of ingredients
• Report any maintenance or food safety concerns to management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a cook, or in a similar role
• Familiarity with café-style or short-order cooking preferred
• Understanding of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and a team player
• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.
