Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time, live-in Cook to prepare and serve high-quality vegetarian meals for our residents. The ideal candidate will be skilled in cooking balanced, healthy, and tasty South Indian and North Indian vegetarian dishes, while maintaining strict standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner) suitable for senior residents.
• Ensure timely preparation and serving of meals.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
• Purchase/manage groceries and ingredients within a budget (in coordination with supervisor/administrator).
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
• Accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions of residents as advised.
• Maintain proper storage and safe handling of food.
• Support in festive meals and special occasions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior experience as a Cook/Chef in households, hostels, senior living facilities, or restaurants.
• Expertise in vegetarian cooking (South Indian required; North Indian preferred).
• Knowledge of nutritional needs for senior citizens is a plus.
• Ability to plan menus and manage ingredients efficiently.
• Strong sense of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in food preparation.
• Good time management and ability to work independently.
• Must be willing to stay at the facility (accommodation provided).
