Job Description

As a Cook at Salem Hospital, you will work under the direction of the Chef to enhance your training in the Culinary Arts. Your responsibilities will include basic and advanced food preparation, creating cafeteria and patient entrees, preparing starches, vegetables, and other menu items. - Assist the Chef and Senior Cook in food preparation - Follow recipes independently to ensure nutritious and visually appealing dishes - Prepare food for hospital staff, guests at events, and cafeteria menu items - Work on the patient tray line and operate cafeteria equipment - Maintain cleanliness in the food preparation area - Three years of experience as a cook or five years in Culinary Arts preparation - High school diploma or equivalent - Basic computer skills (can be obtained through on-the-job training),
