Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of a specific kitchen section, ensuring food preparation meets the highest standards. Lead the kitchen team during your shift, ensuring smooth and efficient operation. Ensure that all dishes are prepared and plated according to the restaurant’s presentation and taste standards. Manage stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and handle the ordering of supplies to ensure the kitchen runs without interruption. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring they understand kitchen protocols, food safety, and preparation techniques. Ensure cleanliness and organisation in your kitchen section, maintaining a hygienic and safe work environment. Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu updates, incorporating fresh ideas while adhering to the café’s food philosophy. Skills Required: Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and team leadership. Expertise in stock management, ingredient ordering, and kitchen inventory. Understanding of plating techniques and food presentation. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining quality.
