Job Description


Role Overview:
The Finance Controllership Lead will oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency, while leading group-level consolidation to support management reporting and investor requirements. This role will work closely with the CFO and leadership teams to enable data-driven decisions and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
    • Financial Operations India: Lead end-to-end financial management, including accounting, AP/AR, compliance, taxation, and audits. Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes and management reporting. Oversee cash flow management to ensure operational liquidity and optimal working capital cycles. Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements, income tax, GST, Companies Act, and other applicable regulations.
    • Group Consolidation & Reporting: Lead group financial consolidation, ensuring alignment with global accounting standards and policies. Prepare accurate consolidated financial statements and MIS reports for leadership, Board, and investors. Coordinate with external advisors to integrate financial data seamlessly and ensure timely reporting. Support preparation of financial models for fundraising, valuations, and strategic planning.
    • Strategic Business Partnership: Identify and implement efficiency improvement opportunities across finance processes and systems. Drive internal controls, standardisation, and automation initiatives to support scalable growth.
    • Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and develop team members to strengthen technical, analytical, and business partnering capabilities. Foster a culture of ownership, agility, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Requirements
    • Experience: Minimum 4-6 years in finance roles, including group consolidation and operational finance management in SaaS or hardware-enabled services businesses.
    • Qualification: Chartered Accountant preferred; strong knowledge of GAAP and consolidation principles.
    • Skills: Expertise in financial consolidation, statutory compliance, and business partnering. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities. Experience in working with multi-entity, cross-border operations is desirable.
    • Personal Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
