Job Description

Controller

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all month-end journal entries, accruals, and reversals to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Support US regulatory filings, including Recovery and Resolution appendices and other periodic submissions
Conduct reviews and perform user testing on system enhancements impacting financial and regulatory reporting
Build and maintain strong working relationships with Auto leadership, Project Managers, Finance teams, and control partners
Escalate issues appropriately while presenting complex information clearly and concisely to senior management
Assist in implementing new US GAAP accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring business compliance with evolving guidelines
Design, develop, and distribute financial reports to provide insights for accounting and finance teams

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting function, either internal or external
Proven ability to analyze large volumes of data and distill it into actionable insights for executive audiences
Quick learner with the ability to formulate and execute plans effectively
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical content clearly to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

CA, CPA, or MBA in Finance
Prior experience in Controllers functions, particularly within the Retail Banking or Auto Finance domain
