Job Description & Expectations

We are looking for a dedicated content writer to create content for the 65,000+ SMEs and Enterprise customers of Sulekha to achieve tangible business outcomes, which includes product descriptions, services descriptions, business descriptions, and regular weekly posts on events/offers/discounts/new launches/updates, etc. The content writer's responsibilities include evaluating analytics to adjust content as needed and regularly updating these descriptions for all the businesses. The candidate should also be able to follow editorial guidelines when creating content.

The candidate is required to keep abreast of the latest SEO techniques and should be able to contribute to the development of strategies that will increase user engagement and deliver value to our customers. He/she will closely work with paid customers of Sulekha to achieve the desired goals of Sulekha.

Pro-Manage Enterprises & Boost - Content Operations:

Work on profile content

Work closely with social management teams

a. Closely work with the internal and other cross-functional teams including the central design team, central keyword research team and marketing teams to deliver value.

b. Conducting in-depth research on industry-related segment in order to develop original content.

c. Developing content for product descriptions, services descriptions, business descriptions, and regular weekly posts on events/offers/discounts/new launches/updates, etc.

d. Assisting the operations team in developing content for the Promanage campaigns.

e. Proofreading content for errors and inconsistencies.

f. Editing and polishing existing content to ensure value delivery for the customers

g. Conducting keyword research and using SEO best practices to increase traffic to Promanage profiles

h. Creating compelling Product & Post Titles that will capture the attention of the target audience.

i. Identifying customers’ needs and recommending new content to address gaps in the Promanage customer profiles

Education, Professional and Personal Attributes

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism, or related field.
• Proven content writing or copywriting experience.
• Working knowledge of content management systems
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
• A portfolio of published articles
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Training on Sulekha ProManage will be given extensively.
• Positive, initiative driven and passionate about digital marketing

Other aspects

• Reporting to Manager/Sr Manager
• Must be based out of Chennai with no travel involved
• All days of working in office – no WFH envisaged as of now
