Job Description

JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore is looking for a Content Writer who will be able to develop, edit and proofread content independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: 5+ years

Schedule: Full day (Mon-Fri: Full Day, Sat: Half Day)

Education: MA in English Literature/ Mass Communication/Journalism / Digital Marketing

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Roles and Responsibilities

Produce various content types, which may include press release, authored article, email content, blogs, advertisement content, content for PR/digital marketing/website and corporate communication activities.
Develop, edit and maintain content to attract the target audience
Create eye catching content, title and body for new engagement
Research and fact checks are mandatory
Assist in PR activities
Content creation aligning with SEO/SEM requirements of the institute
Coordinate with various teams to procure information for an article or blog or digital marketing activities
Plan and execute content management strategies independently
Learn tools to manage content
Share, execute and collaborate on new ideas
Work collaboratively in a cross functional team environment and create written content to suit business requirements.

Skills, Qualification and Experience

A competent writer capable of creating multiple styles of writing (Print/Digital) news, social media, business/marketing/PR, blog etc.

Must be detail-oriented and committed to meeting tight deadlines.
Must have a strong writing portfolio.
Capable of executing and carrying out a given task with requisite details to do the task well

Experienced in writing and editing to the standards of various news/publication verticals
Excellent communication skills and command over language.
Fluent in written and spoken English
Having previous work experience with education field, news or media or PR agency would be an added advantage
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
