Content Writer and Editor

Key Responsibilities:Writing

• Create compelling and original content across formats—blogs, website content, social media posts, scripts, emailers, and ad copies
• Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics, trends, and target audience behavior
• Develop clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content based on briefs and campaign goals
• Ensure all content is optimized for SEO (keywords, metadata, readability)

Editing

• Proofread and edit content produced by internal and freelance writers for accuracy, grammar, tone, and brand consistency
• Ensure all written materials are aligned with brand voice, editorial guidelines, and digital marketing goals
• Rewrite and repurpose content to suit different platforms and audiences
• Fact-check information and cross-verify sources when needed

Strategy & Collaboration

• Collaborate with designers, social media managers, and SEO teams to bring content to life
• Contribute to content calendars and participate in brainstorming sessions for new campaign ideas
• Analyze content performance metrics to suggest improvements and new content ideas

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or related field
• 2–4 years of proven experience in content writing/editing in a digital marketing or agency environment
• Strong portfolio showcasing versatility across long-form and short-form content
• Excellent command of the English language with impeccable grammar and style
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools (e.g., SEMrush, Yoast, Google Keyword Planner)
• Working knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and editorial workflows
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• A keen eye for detail and strong editorial judgment
