About the Role

We're looking for a creative yet analytical Content Strategist who understands audience behaviour, loves vertical drama formats, and knows how to convert insights into content, programming, and marketing strategies that drive viewership, retention, and trial conversions.

You will play a critical role in shaping what India watches on Dashreels - from show positioning and content tagging to promo strategy, in-app journeys, and cross-functional creative alignment.

Responsibilities

1. Content Strategy & Programming

• Develop content positioning, messaging, and narrative strategies for new and existing Dashreels shows.
• Build and maintain a robust content taxonomy, tagging logic, and keyword system (search optimization).
• Evaluate content gaps and emerging trends across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam belts and suggest new concepts to be added to the content library to grow and retain the user base.
• Build and action content strategies for push notifications and social media

2. Data-Driven Decision Making

• Analyse title performance, drop-offs, watch-time funnels, touch events, and ratings to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Conduct competitive benchmarking across micro-drama and short-video ecosystems as well as OTT in general.
• Identify insights for improving trial starts, show finishes, subscription conversion, content consumption, genre-specific engagement and retention.

3. Creative Collaboration

• Partner with programming and creative teams to craft promo strategies, tagline variations, launch themes, and content-led social formats.
• Brief in-house editors and creative teams for trailers, vertical edits, thumbnails, and in-app banners.
• Ensure all content assets adhere to Dashreels brand identity and emotional tone.

4. Audience Understanding

• Track preferences across regions - especially behavioural patterns like trial cancellations, binge modes, show finish patterns, and genre affinity.
• Identify regional storytelling cues, casting preferences, and tone differences across audience cohorts.
• Conduct regular user calls to gather insights.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with product, strategy and growth teams to integrate content strategy into:

• Align with production teams to ensure content delivery meets platform quality standards.
