About us

We make educational YouTube videos that perhaps should not be on youtube. Think deep dives into fascinating topics that make people go "whoa, I never knew that." We're a growing channel with thousands of engaged viewers, and we need someone obsessed with getting into the rabbit hole.

What you'll do

Research everything

• Find mind-blowing topics and dig until you hit gold
• Turn academic papers and obscure sources into stories people actually want to watch
• Spot the angles everyone else misses

Keep us honest

• Fact-check everything (seriously, everything)
• Cross-verify claims across multiple scientific papers and sources
• Make sure we're not accidentally spreading BS
• Keep track of sources so we don't get sued

Talk to smart people

• Find and email experts who know their stuff
• Set up interviews and get the good quotes
• Build a network of people who pick up when you call

Make content happen

• Work with our team to turn research into killer scripts
• Find the visuals that make complex stuff click
• Keep everything organised so we're not scrambling at deadline

You should have

The basics:

• Experience reading and understanding scientific papers
• Strong cross-verification skills
• Writing skills that don't put people to sleep
• An unhealthy obsession with accuracy

Bonus points:

• You already watch way too much YouTube
• You've worked on documentaries or educational content
• You can explain quantum physics to a 5-year-old
• You're comfortable using AI tools for research (but know when to double-check)
• You're not afraid to cold-email Nobel laureates

We're looking for someone who

• Goes down Wikipedia rabbit holes for fun
• Gets genuinely excited about obscure facts
• Can spot a good story from a mile away
• Knows when to use AI and when to dig deeper
• Works fast without cutting corners
• Actually responds to Slack messages
• Doesn't need hand-holding
