Synthesize insights to spot trends, gaps, and opportunities in regional categories (e.g., sports, news, public health), ensuring content is evidence-based and user-relevant. Profile local heroes and emerging talents in any sector to foster community engagement and inspire users. Define and segment target groups using research-driven criteria to maximize outreach and impact for each sector. Provide actionable recommendations to content, marketing, and product teams to guide content selection and engagement strategies. Curate diverse and inclusive content for the a app, addressing gaps and reflecting evolving interests across sectors. Run targeted surveys on the app to assess audience needs and tailor content accordingly. Collaborate with internal teams (content, survey, marcom) to align and execute integrated strategies. Leverage digital tools to gather information, track trends, and enhance coverage. Monitor government websites for new schemes and policies, targeting updates to the right audience. Mentor junior researchers and contribute to long-term planning and growth. Deliver timely, accurate, and engaging coverage tailored to audience needs across all sectors Key Skills / Abilities The ability to efficiently and effectively gather information from a wide range of sources, including news websites, government portals, academic databases, social media, sports-specific websites, local newspapers and more. Understanding of different genre and knowledge of schemes/policies. A deep and up-to-date knowledge of local, regional, and national sports and other economic issues. Meticulous attention to detail and a rigorous approach to verifying information for accuracy and reliability. This includes cross-referencing sources and identifying potential biases. Understanding basic statistical concepts and the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and use metrics to support storylines and analysis Experience Required 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in a research role focused on small towns and the rural sector, demonstrating strong research, analytical, and collaborative skills, along with a deep understanding of the Indian media landscape and government sector.
