Content Editor

As an Associate Content Editor on a contractual basis, your main responsibilities will include proofreading, fact-checking, and editing content. You will be expected to read and evaluate written text for grammatical and spelling errors, as well as compare edited content with the original copy to identify any errors or omissions. It will be essential to rephrase written text to ensure content consistency and stay updated with grammatical developments and new terminologies in English. Your role will also involve editing content according to the US English style while ensuring the correct usage of words and grammar. You may need to contact SMEs or freelancers to clarify any grammatical inconsistencies related to style and text choice. Ensuring the quality of content and timely completion of projects within set constraints will be crucial aspects of your job. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, English, or a related field. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, along with an excellent portfolio, are required. Being an avid reader, having hands-on experience with MS Office, publishing tools, and CMS, will be beneficial. Strong communication skills, organization, attention to detail, critical thinking, prioritization, multitasking abilities, and a collaborative approach to work are essential.
