Consultant - Tax - TMT - TAX - Indirect Tax - Core -

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience in tax and regulatory support for global mobility. ### Roles and Responsibility Provide general corporate advisory services, including drafting and vetting commercial agreements such as vendor contracts, employment agreements, lease deeds, warrant agreements, and assignment agreements. Advise on legal and compliance issues related to corporate and commercial laws, labor laws, statutory approvals, and filings. Issue legal opinions and memorandums on various commercial and corporate law issues across different sectors. Collaborate with teams on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. Draft and vet transaction documents such as share purchase/share subscription/shareholders agreements, joint ventures agreements, escrow agreements, and term sheets. Stay updated with key technical and functional skills, industry trends, and developments in law. ### Job Requirements Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or MBA from a reputed institute. Prior experience or insight into GST and Customs, as well as the erstwhile Indirect taxation (Sales Tax/Service Tax/Central Excise) is desirable. Ability to work collaboratively to provide services across multiple client departments while adhering to commercial and legal requirements. Practical approach to solving complex problems with the ability to deliver insightful and practical solutions. Agile, curious, mindful, positive energy, adaptable, and creative approach to problem-solving. Strong understanding of commercial and corporate laws, labor laws, and statutory approvals.
