Consultant Strategy Consulting, Technology Practice

As a Consultant at this company in Gurgaon, India, your role involves collaborating with senior consultants, engagement managers, and practice heads to provide data-driven and analysis-rich research deliverables that derive strategic insights based on client requirements. You are also expected to assist in business development activities. Your primary responsibilities include: - Supporting managers and practice heads in understanding client requirements, defining problems, designing project approaches, and making recommendations - Demonstrating in-depth understanding of the practice area (technology) and providing internal and client thought leadership - Conducting extensive primary and/or secondary research and analyzing data to extract insights and identify patterns - Developing proxies and triangulations for challenging data points - Analyzing findings for trends, patterns, and insights to help the team arrive at solutions - Interacting seamlessly with team members to ensure high-quality strategy consulting assignments - Taking ownership of assigned modules and guiding analysts and associate consultants - Producing output in the form of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc., in a near-final state - Managing vendor relationships and engaging in business development activities You are expected to possess the following skills and personal attributes: - Good business writing and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills - Detail-oriented with high standards for information presentation - Excellent research, analytical, and numerical skills - Logical thought process and ability to develop solutions - Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a time-driven high-pressure environment - Self-driven with a high level of motivation and energy - Ability to proactively contribute to the firm's goals and mission - International experience is an added advantage - Professional appearance and manner of speaking Preferred experience for this role includes: - 3-5 years of experience in roles such as Consultant for technology clients, Corporate Strategy professional in a large technology company, Research Analyst covering the technology sector, Equity Analyst covering the technology sector, or Market Intelligence/Competitor Intelligence professional in a large technology company - Experience in studying evolving technology trends, following large technology companies and their strategies, understanding M&A activity in the technology industry, advising on product/services or go-to-market strategies for technology companies, and analyzing changing customer needs Your educational background should include a Bachelor's degree (Engineering/Commerce/Economics) from a top-tier university (such as IITs, NITs, DU, etc.), with an MBA from a top-tier B-School preferred.,
