Consultant Radiologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Radiologist to join our Radiology Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert diagnostic imaging services, contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions, supervising junior staff, and supporting high-quality patient care across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and report diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, Ultrasound, and/or Nuclear Medicine, depending on subspecialty.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, offering radiologic insight to guide clinical management.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of imaging studies.
• Perform interventional procedures as per experience and departmental needs (e.g. biopsies, drainages).
• Support the clinical team with imaging-related queries and second opinions.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior radiologists, radiographers, and medical students.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance standards and radiation safety regulations.
• Participate in audit, quality improvement, and continuing professional development (CPD).
• Contribute to the on-call rota, if applicable.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
• FRCR / FRANZCR / ABR / Equivalent board certification in Radiology
• Full registration with appropriate medical council (e.g. GMC in UK, IMC in Ireland, etc.)
• Subspecialty interest (optional): [e.g., Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, Breast, Paediatric Radiology]
• Minimum [X] years post-qualification experience as a Consultant Radiologist
• Proficiency in PACS and RIS systems
• Excellent communication, clinical judgement, and teamwork skills

Consultant Radiologist - MD Radiology with 3-5years experience with hands on MRI -1. 5 tesla, and ultrasound
