Assistant Professor

You will be joining our team as a motivated Senior Resident in Anatomy, playing a crucial role in our residency program. Your commitment to learning, teaching, and contributing to research will be essential as you provide support in both the anatomy lab and classroom settings. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the teaching of gross anatomy, histology, and embryology to medical and allied health students, participating in cadaver dissection and anatomical demonstrations, supporting faculty in anatomy-related research projects, conducting and participating in academic seminars and workshops, as well as maintaining lab equipment to ensure a safe working environment. To qualify for this role, you should possess an MBBS + MS/MD or DO degree along with completion of a relevant residency program. A strong interest in anatomical sciences and education is highly desired. In this role as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomy, your main focus will be on engaging in teaching, research, and academic service. You will have the opportunity to educate medical students and allied health students in anatomy courses, develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies, conduct and publish research in anatomical sciences, participate in departmental committees and community outreach initiatives, and stay updated with advancements in anatomy education and research. The ideal candidate for this position should hold an MBBS+MS/MD or DO with a focus on anatomy, along with previous teaching experience at the college level. As an Associate Professor in Anatomy, you will be expected to provide leadership in education, research, and service. Your responsibilities will involve leading educational programs and initiatives in anatomy, teaching advanced courses to medical students and residents, mentoring junior faculty and graduate students, conducting significant research and securing funding, as well as participating in academic governance and community engagement. To be eligible for this role, you should have a PhD in Anatomy or a related field, or an MD/DO with extensive anatomical knowledge, along with an established record of research and publication in the field. In the role of a Professor within the Department of Anatomy, you will be tasked with providing visionary leadership in education, research, and service. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic direction for educational programs in anatomy, leading innovative research initiatives, mentoring faculty, residents, and students, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and representing the department in national and international forums.
