Consultant

As a Principal Charles River Consultant, you will play a strategic role in delivering high-impact consulting services for asset management firms and financial institutions using the Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS). This role requires deep expertise in Charles Rivers platform, a strong understanding of asset management, and leadership skills to guide project teams and build relationships with clients. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing solutions, implementing and optimizing Charles River software, and ensuring alignment with best practices.

Key responsibilities:

Consulting and Implementation

• Lead end-to-end implementation of Charles River solutions, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Customize and integrate Charles River applications to meet clients’ unique business requirements.
• Develop and present solution designs, implementation strategies, and project plans to stakeholders.

Client Engagement

• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and managing expectations.
• Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with clients to understand their investment workflows and requirements.
• Provide guidance on best practices and system optimization, enhancing client satisfaction and long-term partnership.

Project Leadership

• Oversee project teams, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Mentor junior consultants and support their professional development.
• Proactively address project risks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Technical Expertise

• Apply extensive knowledge of the Charles River platform, including order and execution management, portfolio management, compliance, and post-trade processing.
• Collaborate with technology teams to address integration needs, data migration, and system customization.
• Stay current on Charles River and related financial technologies, offering clients forward-thinking solutions.

Strategic Consulting

• Advise clients on system architecture and investment process improvements using Charles River products.
• Provide insights into evolving trends within the asset management and investment management industry.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and help enhance the company’s consulting methodologies and toolkits.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in consulting, asset management, or financial technology, with a strong focus on Charles River IMS.
• Demonstrated expertise in Charles River product suite, especially in order and execution management, portfolio management, compliance, and trade processing.
• Proven project management skills with experience leading large-scale implementation projects.
• Excellent client management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior team members

Good to have skills:

• Knowledge of SQL, data management, and software integration.
• Strong understanding of the financial markets and investment lifecycle.
• Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or financial services (e.g., CFA).
