Consultant - Air Quality & Noise

As an enthusiastic water professional at Arcadis, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Environmental Planning projects with a focus on sustainability and resilience. Your role within the global business area Resilience will involve tasks related to environmental management, including protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality, and noise, in some of the world's busiest and most beautiful locations. You will play a crucial part in protecting our natural environment and water resources while contributing to a more sustainable future for generations to come. Your key responsibilities will include: - Supporting air quality and noise teams in the UK on projects and bids, including tasks such as desktop baseline assessments, managing large datasets, and analyzing air quality and noise monitoring data. Experience with noise and air quality modeling is desirable. - Assisting in delivering project-related tasks within budget, time-frame, and quality targets, exceeding client expectations when possible. - Being willing to support the wider global business as needed due to workload demands. - Completing air quality and noise assessments, data analysis, manipulation, and interpretation. - Preparing technical reports and using air quality and noise modeling software for modeling purposes. - Assisting with proposals, bids, and marketing materials preparation. - Performing other duties and responsibilities as required. In terms of qualifications and experience, you should have: - Experience using GIS software such as Arc, QGIS, and Google Sketchup. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word. - Experience in Acoustic modeling in Proprietary Software like SoundPLAN, CADNAA, IMMI, NoiseMAP, Predictor, Odeon, and INSUL. - UK experience is mandatory. - Experience in Air Quality modeling in Proprietary Software including ADMS Roads and AERMOD. - Detailed understanding of UK assessment methodologies and British Standards covering Noise and/Air Quality. - Motivation, commitment, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking. - Excellent written skills with keen attention to detail. - Strong team player with exceptional time management skills. - Background in environmental-related qualifications demonstrating adaptability to support air quality and noise teams (Environmental/Science based) or Mathematics, Acoustics, or Physics.
