Compositing Supervisor

As a Compositing Supervisor at Knack Studios located in Chennai, you will be an integral part of a full-service post-production facility dedicated to translating creative concepts into immersive cinematic experiences. With a decade of experience in the industry, you will play a crucial role in leading the compositing department, utilizing your strong artistic and technical skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality, photorealistic shots. Your responsibilities will include supervising all compositing activities, collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve creative and technical objectives, mentoring a team of compositors, reviewing and approving shots for consistency and visual storytelling standards, troubleshooting complex challenges using tools like Nuke, and managing project schedules and budgets effectively. To excel in this role, you must possess expert-level knowledge of Nuke, a deep understanding of 3D passes, AOVs, and stereo workflows, exceptional leadership and communication skills, and the ability to maintain compositing quality across multiple sequences. Your proactive and detail-oriented approach, coupled with familiarity with Python scripting in Nuke and experience with production tracking tools, will be valuable assets in driving the team towards success. The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma or Degree in VFX, Animation, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in compositing within the VFX industry. Your portfolio should demonstrate both photorealistic compositing skills and leadership capabilities, showcasing your ability to manage large-scale projects and inspire teams towards excellence.
