, India and Malaysia to continue to put forth excellent engineering solutions aligned with efficient manufacturing to meet high-volume production requirements Responsibilities Good Knowledge and working experience in all types of Component attributes / selection
- BoM Scrub, FFF Alternates suggestion, Life-cycle and Obsolescence Management
- Identify Product Life-cycle, Obsolete, EOL, Compliance, Supply-Chain issues and suggest alternates
- Sound working knowledge in RoHS/REACh/Conflict Minerals and other Chemical compliance Regulations (IMDS, PFOS, TSCA, DecaBDE etc)
- Strong working experience in recommending Electrical, Electronics and Electro-Mechanical alternates for all threats
- Review, understand and process PCN/ECNs internally
- Loading BoMs to Sourcing Tools like Quotewin for RFQ and process the data on regular basis
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively by telephone, correspondence, and in person
- Coordinates assigned project with engineering and RFQ team to assure accurate and timely delivery
- Manage multiple quotes simultaneously and meet expected timelines
- Communicate with sales and reps for any missing proposal information and follow-ups
- Review and analyze material costs, routings, labour, custom tooling, and all other cost aspects of quotes
- Assist with various other duties as assigned like BOM preparation/comparisons and data management
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies on environmental matter
