Component Designer

Role Overview: You will work directly with the global Turbo Compressor Products Engineering team at various manufacturing sites. As a Designer, your primary responsibilities will include accurately laying out compressor cross-sections, creating detailed prints for manufacturing, and developing bills of material. You are expected to be a well-rounded team member, serving as a key contact for both internal and external customers and suppliers. Key Responsibilities: - Produce accurate 3D layouts and solid models of turbo compressors within specified project scopes and time frames. - Create engineering prints and bills of materials for manufacturing purposes. - Develop solid model assemblies in NX to ensure form, fit, and function logic is met, and verify correct assembly with mating parts. - Support product design and development, part detailing and checking, fabrication, manufacturing, and contribute to overall client satisfaction. - Incorporate new designs and standards into existing compressor designs when required, while adhering to footprint limitations. - Demonstrate problem-solving skills and innovative thinking. - Assist in the publication of Design Checklists or Execution Checklists. - Perform maintenance and updates on components and documents, including executing Cost-Out into production-ready status. Qualifications Required: - BE/BTech in mechanical engineering with 4-5 years of proven experience or Diploma in mechanical engineering with 8-10 years proven experience. - Proficiency in solid modeling and drafting using CAD, preferably NX (Uni graphics). - Knowledge and proficiency in NX, Teamcenter, and ERP system SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing). - Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal in English, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Experience in Turbo compression including knowledge of industry standards (API, ASME, etc.) and general manufacturing knowledge.
