Community Mobilizer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Community Mobilizer – Career Counsellor to join our team. The role involves reaching out to communities, identifying potential candidates, and guiding them towards suitable training and career opportunities. Candidates with experience in skilling/skill development projects such as DDUGKY, PMKVY, CSR initiatives, or similar programs are especially welcome. The ideal candidate should have a passion for helping individuals shape their careers and the ability to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct community outreach to identify and mobilize potential candidates for skill development programs.
• Visit various locations to collect admission forms and encourage enrollments.
• Provide career counseling to job seekers, especially those with +2 or higher education.
• Explain training and job opportunities, addressing candidate concerns.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders and local organizations.
• Achieve weekly and monthly admission targets set by the organization.
• Maintain and report data on mobilization activities, walk-ins, and enrollments.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification:
• Preferred: BSW / MSW
• Also Acceptable: Any UG / PG degree
• Experience in mobilization, community outreach, or career counseling preferred.
• Experience in skilling/skill development projects such as DDUGKY, PMKVY, CSR initiatives, or similar will be highly valued.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel within a 20 km radius of Medavakkam.
• Passion for guiding and mentoring youth towards career opportunities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Target-driven with the ability to achieve weekly and monthly mobilization goals.
