Job Description

We are seeking a Commission Analyst to manage commission calculations and forecasting for our sales, technical, and partner teams. The candidate should have strong Excel proficiency, experience with commission calculation, a solid understanding of data validation and reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities

Commission Processing & Administration

  • Calculate and process monthly commission payouts for sales, technical, and partner teams in accordance with established commission structures and timelines.
  • Review and validate sales bookings and revenue data from Salesforce and accounting systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies with sales and finance teams.
  • Maintain commission trackers, ensure data accuracy, and update commission calculations as needed.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly commission reports detailing payouts, accruals, and performance metrics for management review.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based commission models and dashboards to track sales performance and commission trends.
  • Prepare commissions forecast and conduct variance analysis between forecast and actual commission payouts.

Stakeholder Communication & Support

  • Respond to commission-related queries from sales representatives and leadership in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate payment timelines, policy updates, and calculation methodologies clearly to stakeholders.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify opportunities to streamline commission processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Support commission audits by preparing documentation and reconciling historical payment records.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commission calculation, sales operations, or financial analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data consolidation, and working with large datasets.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain commission calculations and policies clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet monthly processing deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in revenue tracking, revenue recognition, or accounting processes is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM for opportunity tracking, pipeline reporting, and data extraction is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IT services or B2B sales cycles and commission structures.
