Job Description

As a Tandoor Chef, you will be responsible for preparing authentic North Indian tandoor dishes with consistent quality. You must ensure proper marination, cooking techniques, and presentation while having a strong knowledge of traditional tandoor operations, menu execution, hygiene standards, and kitchen teamwork. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook a wide range of tandoor items such as kebabs, tikkas, roti, naan, kulcha, and grilled dishes. - Ensure proper marination, portioning, and cooking as per recipes and standards. - Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and effectively. - Monitor food quality, taste, and appearance before service. - Assist in menu planning and introduce new tandoor recipes when required. Kitchen Operations: - Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and equipment. - Follow standard food safety regulations (HACCP / FSSAI). - Manage stock levels for tandoor ingredients and place requisitions on time. - Coordinate with fellow chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Quality & Safety: - Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety protocols. - Ensure all food is prepared using the correct methods and at the right temperatures. - Avoid wastage and follow portion control guidelines. Teamwork & Communication: - Work closely with other kitchen staff and support team during busy operations. - Communicate effectively with senior chefs on menu, issues, or ingredient needs. - Assist in training junior staff in tandoor techniques. Qualifications: - Proven experience in Tandoor or Indian cuisine kitchen (hotel/restaurant). - Strong understanding of tandoor cooking techniques and equipment. - Knowledge of marination, Indian spices, and regional flavours. - Ability to work under pressure and in hot environments. - Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene. - Good teamwork, time management, and communication skills. This job is full-time and permanent with benefits including food provided and Provident Fund. The work location is in person.,
