Commis (Bakery/Continental/Indian)

As a Food and Beverage & Culinary Associate at Fairfield by Marriott Jodhpur, your main responsibility will be to prepare ingredients for cooking, which includes portioning, chopping, and storing food. You will be expected to wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklist. Additionally, you will be in charge of preparing cold foods and operating various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. It will also be your duty to test foods to ensure they are cooked properly, monitor food quality, and maintain a clean and organized work station. Your role will require you to follow all company policies and safety procedures, report any maintenance needs or unsafe conditions to the manager, and complete safety training and certifications. You should also maintain a professional appearance, communicate effectively with team members, and adhere to quality expectations and standards. Physical requirements of the job include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, reaching, bending, lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and performing other job duties as requested by supervisors. The ideal candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experience.
