  • Prepare coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty beverages according to standardized recipes.

  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and packaging for delivery and takeaway.

  • Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other caf equipment.

  • Manage beverage prep area with strict adherence to cleanliness and hygiene standards.

  • Accurately read and execute orders received from delivery platforms.

  • Label and pack beverages securely for delivery to avoid spills or damage.

  • Maintain stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups, packaging materials, and other essentials.

  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the supervisor/manager.

  • Follow health, safety, and food hygiene guidelines at all times.

  • Support kitchen team with general duties when required.

  • Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous barista or caf experience preferred; freshers with training also considered.

  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage preparation.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency.

  • Good time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours.

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Title: Commis 1

Department: Kitchen

Reports to: shift lead/manager

Job Summary:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and quality standards.

  • Ensure all food leaving the kitchen meets the required presentation and taste standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the assigned kitchen section.

  • Support the shift lead/manager in daily kitchen operations.

  • Check ingredients for freshness, proper storage, and quality before use.

  • Ensure proper portion control and minimize food wastage.

  • Train and guide Team Members and kitchen staffs.

  • Coordinate effectively with other kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as Commis 2 or in a similar role.

  • Good knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.

  • Strong focus on food quality, taste, and presentation.

  • Team player with good communication and time management skills.

  • Culinary certification or diplom a preferred.
