Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation:

Prepare ingredients for baking by washing, peeling, chopping, weighing, and measuring.
Mix ingredients according to recipes and instructions from senior chefs.
Assemble, bake, and finish various baked goods, such as breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts.

Workstation Management:

Set up and break down the workstation, ensuring all necessary tools and ingredients are in place.
Keep the workstation and all equipment clean, organized, and in good working order.

Food Safety & Quality:

Adhere to all company procedures and hygiene regulations, including proper food storage, dating, and temperature checks.
Ensure the quality and consistency of all prepared and served food items.
Report any food safety hazards or defects in kitchen equipment to a senior chef.

Support & Administration:

Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries and managing inventory.
Monitor stock movement and inform senior chefs of excess or low inventory.
Maintain a positive attitude and high standards of personal hygiene.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills:
Basic culinary skills and knowledge of baking techniques and kitchen equipment.
Soft Skills:
Teamwork, attention to detail, creativity in presentation, and strong communication skills.
Work Ethic:
Punctuality, ability to work under pressure, flexibility in working shifts (including weekends and holidays), and a passion for baking.
Education:
A diploma or ongoing degree in hotel management, bakery, or culinary arts is often preferred, along with related work experience.
