About the Role:

We are looking for a highly experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Fire, Marine, and Property Insurance underwriting with a solid understanding of commercial lines and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and underwrite risks for commercial insurance products including Fire, Marine, and Property
• Analyze data to assess risk and determine appropriate pricing
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and claims teams to drive business growth
• Develop underwriting guidelines and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory norms
• Maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal review and audits

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Commercial Lines Underwriting (Fire, Marine, Property)
• Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, insurance laws, and industry regulations
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree (Insurance, Finance, or related field preferred)
