Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Color Developer to join our technical team. This mid-

level role is responsible for developing, matching, and validating paint shades using advanced color

measurement tools and practical knowledge of paint shop operations. The ideal candidate will play a

key role in ensuring color consistency, customer satisfaction, and process optimization across

batches.

Key Responsibilities :-

• Color Development & Matching
• Formulate and adjust paint shades based on customer specifications and standards
• Use spectrophotometer and other color testing instruments for precise shade matching
• Maintain shade library and digital color records for traceability
• Paint Shop Coordination
• Collaborate with production and QC teams to ensure color accuracy during batch manufacturing.
• Conduct trials and approve shades before full-scale production
• Troubleshoot color-related issues on the shop floor
• Quality & Process Control
• Validate raw materials and pigment consistency for color stability
• Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards
• Support continuous improvement in tinting, dispersion, and application processes
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain shade cards, formulation sheets, and test reports
• Record deviations and corrective actions for non-conforming shades

Candidate Profile:-

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Paint Technology, Chemistry, or related field
• Experience: 3–6 years in color development within a paint or coatings environment
• Skills:
• Proficiency in spectrophotometer operation and color software (e.g., Datacolor, X-Rite)
• Strong understanding of pigment behavior, tinting systems, and paint application techniques
• Familiarity with paint shop processes and production constraints
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight timelines

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹13,976.55 - ₹30,000.00 per month
