**Job Description:** **Role Overview:** You should have a strong knowledge of Cognos administration on the UNIX platform. Your responsibilities will include installation and configuration of Cognos BI tools, understanding COGNOS architecture including framework manager, evaluating, understanding, and implementing patches to the Cognos environment. You should take a proactive approach to server environment monitoring and be involved in development, UAT, production, and DR activities. Your tasks will involve Cognos administration tasks like creating data source connections, publishing packages, scheduling reports, user creation, security administration, deployment of packages, and reports. Additionally, you should have the ability to configure DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle database connections both at a server application server level as well as within Cognos. A basic understanding of Role Based Authentication, SiteMinder, and single sign-on is required.
