Job Title: Cognos Administrator

Experience: 4+ Years (Minimum 4 Years in Cognos Administration)

Location: Pune (Local Candidates Preferred)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Cognos Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize Cognos environments for our enterprise client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Cognos Administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and security management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Cognos server administration, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Manage user access, security policies, and roles within Cognos.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Cognos BI services, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Perform environment health checks, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
• Deploy and maintain Cognos reports, packages, and content store management.
• Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and compliance with organizational standards.

Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

• Cognos Administration – End-to-end admin experience (installation, configuration, security, troubleshooting).
• Server & Environment Management – Performance tuning, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Security & Access Management – Managing roles, authentication, and authorization.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of Cognos Analytics (11.x).
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows servers and scripting (Shell, Python, or PowerShell).
• Experience integrating Cognos with data warehouses or BI tools.
• Exposure to migration or upgrade projects.

Job Types: Permanent, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
