CNC Programmer

Job Description

Developing CNC programs (G-code) using CAD/CAM software. Defining toolpaths, speeds, and feed rates for machining operations. Simulating toolpaths to verify accuracy and prevent collisions. Optimizing machining parameters to reduce cycle time and improve productivity. Generating and maintaining documentation for programs, setups, and tooling lists. Setting up machines for specific machining tasks, including clamping fixtures and workpiece holding. Troubleshooting machine operations and identifying areas for improvement. Calibrating machine parameters to ensure accuracy and consistency. Inspecting parts during and after machining to ensure they meet specifications. Implementing quality control measures to prevent defects. Troubleshooting quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
