Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and dimensional verification of new parts including: Plastic injection molded parts CNC machined parts Tool and die components Develop and maintain inspection reports such as: First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) Incoming inspection checklists Dimensional inspection records PPAP/ISIR documentation as applicable Collaborate with design, tooling, and production teams to resolve quality issues and optimize part manufacturability. Use precision measuring equipment including CMM, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators , etc. Interpret and apply engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer-specific quality requirements. Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformities in new parts. Maintain inspection documentation for audit readiness and traceability. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality management system standards.
